Title

Clara Woolsey v Administrator, Maricopa County Superior Court, Case No. 146, 1880

Description

With her mother's support, Clara Woolsey sued for a portion of her father King Woolsey's estate. Although Arizona's miscegenation law made Clara and her siblings illegitimate heirs to Woolsey's estate, Clara did make a successful claim for $1000 based on the indenture her father had signed in 1871. Attorneys fees took up most of that amount.
